Brides abroad

Made in Karachi, shipped to the UK, the USA, Canada and the UAE. You can plan your whole outfit from home.

How it works from abroad

  1. Video consultation

Book a video call with Saadia by appointment. Show her your ideas and she talks you through designs and fabrics.

  2. Measurements

Saadia tells you exactly which measurements she needs and how to take them, on your own or with a local tailor.

  3. Making in Karachi

Your outfit is made to those measurements and embroidered by hand.

  4. Shipping

Sent to you by international courier, with tracking.

When to start

Hand embroidery takes time, and shipping and customs add more. Get in touch as soon as you have your dates. Five to six months before your first function is comfortable.

Time zones

Saadia works on Karachi time (PKT, GMT+5). In winter, the UK is 5 hours behind, the US and Canada East Coast are 10 hours behind, and the UAE is 1 hour behind. Tell her your city and she will suggest a call time that suits you.

Import duties and tax

Duty and tax are charged by your country, not by Taffy, and are usually paid to the courier before delivery. These are typical rates for clothing as of November 2026. Saadia checks the current rate with you when you order.

CountryWhat to expect
UAE5% customs duty plus 5% VAT on the value of the outfit, shipping and insurance, about 10.25% in total. Example: a USD 3,000 outfit with USD 100 shipping comes to about AED 1,167 in taxes.
United KingdomClothing is usually charged 12% duty plus 20% import VAT.
United StatesDuty depends on the fabric and the current tariff on goods from Pakistan, and a broker fee may apply. Budget roughly 7% to 35%. The USD 800 duty-free allowance ended on 29 August 2025.
CanadaDuty plus GST or HST applies above CAD 20. Apparel duty is about 18%.

These figures are a guide, not tax advice. Your courier or customs authority confirms the final amount.

Wherever you are

Saadia can work with you from anywhere, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Toronto and Mississauga, New York and New Jersey, Houston and Dubai.
